i've noticed my husband (w/the backing of the brothers) trying his best to 'catch me' or imply inproper dealings or what whatever with the opposite sex.
we had a big blow up where it resulted in his being terribly cursed out and demeaned (by me, of course and i hate doing that but it is the only way to keep him at bey).
i hate when he tries to incriminate me when it comes to a simple acquaintance or phone call.
You still live together? I would go for separation and a restraining order and make up some spiritual/emotional abuse story for the company men, you can use the restraining order in your defense. You could even appear to be 'just crazy'.
If you want to get back at him and catch him doing something fishy, hire a detective, they are skilled at it but I don't think you really care whether or not you or him gets a 'Witness-approved' divorce.

as an elder i would have a hard time putting my heart into writing up a local needs talk that was targeting one or two congregation members, knowing full well they probably wouldn't be there to hear it.. .
What was your local needs about? There are only 3 subject for those:
- You need to go more in service
- You need to reach out for privileges
- You need to be more in the KH
(- You can't accept blood) - that's a special one the GB actually commands the 'local' needs to be about once a year.

I believe personally that it was about the end that was about to come for Jerusalem which came around 70AD. Jesus had the right idea and he noticed that the way the Jews were going would not be tolerated much longer by the Romans and the Romans had the nasty habit of punishing any uprisings by burning down the whole city. His prophecies were sufficiently vague and Nostradamus-like to be interpreted several ways. After that it kinda tapered off and split up into several sects and philosophies (a huge problem by the time John wrote Revelations) that eventually developed into some of the religions we know today.

What's started bothering me about this story and the 'issue of universal sovereignty' recently is that the issue was not yet raised before Satan put the temptation before Eve to sin. Even if you take the story to face value - Satan had intent to mislead when he a) developed the feelings b) came down to earth and c) morphed into the serpent, only after that did he raise the issue that God is not fit for ruling mankind (is it really so etc). The problem is that God either didn't know what Satan was up to (he was being sneaky and God missed it?) or that God didn't care or had some other motive for allowing Satan to get those desires of power, set up a scenario to mislead mankind and bring sin upon all.
It's like seeing a family member walking around in your house with a gun drawn, loaded and pointed at somebody's head and you say 'meh, I can't imagine what he would do with that'.

That is the same philosophy as "The Simulation Argument" and there are much philosophical arguments around it. The problem with that is - if we live in a simulation, how come we never see it 'glitch' (or do we?), how would we know and is it even relevant?
The only test for that is to build a simulation ourselves - if we can do it (as humans) then it is entirely possible we are too a simulation.
In Darwin's time they thought non-Caucasian people were a different species. In the mean time this has been fixed but there are still differences in the several races of people (for good or for bad). The thing is that as Darwin predicted, those races are unifying (interracial couples are not that unique anymore) and diversifying - evolving so to say and the best traits for survival will remain within a few centuries as the climate changes and people live in different situations.

The way muslims are portrayed in the media is not always correct either, especially Faux News and other right-wing Christian media is responsible for the backlash against muslims and their portrayal as hating the world. There are more Muslims than Christians in this world, only a handful, 7 million or so ;-), are crazy.

Hi DJEggNogg. Armageddon is not mentioned in the Bible except for Revelation. And Revelation is a highly symbolic book. Most Christians do not believe that Armageddon is to be taken as a literal day of condemnation where the world will be destroyed and only a few will remain. The belief in Armageddon according to the JW's is false - how can a God of love destroy billions of people, some who never had the opportunity to learn about him and only save a few million that have actually taught many several versions of the 'Truth' all the while claiming to be 'guided by Holy Spirit'?
JW's have prophesied in the proper sense of the word that the end would come ever since the late 1800's, 1914, 1922, 1975, within the generation (which is already a stretch of the actual meaning of the word) of 1914, within 2 generations of 1914 etc. etc.

That won't ever happen. They'll have to throw all the doctrines that make them JW's out of the window in order to make them fit according to scripture. Disfellowshipping is one of those things, blood is another. Most "apostate" arguments ARE supported by biblical scriptures that clearly show their hypocrisy. As you can see from DJEggNogg, the only answer they have is nitpicked fractions of bible verses and older WT articles.
However the world is progressing. The JW's are a publishing/magazine company just like Time Magazine, XY Magazine (recently bankrupted), Reader's Digest etc. They'll have to adapt to the online world or cease to exist as fewer people accept and read wood products. Why can't I get the JW magazines in an iPad app or read the Bible on my iPhone during the meeting?
Maybe they hope that the big-A will happen before they are bankrupt but I doubt they even believe that - I give them another 2 or 3 decades if they don't adapt their teachings, methods and distribution network. As the world gets more and more connected and EVERYBODY gets access to the Internet and don't even have to think of it anymore, at the point it becomes a utility like Water, Gas and Electricity and the old ones that don't know technology disappear they're going to have a more difficult time overcoming the technological hurdles of their business. Many of the younger generation hardly make decisions for anything that can't be reviewed online.
